Precious Metal Silver Clay – Hammered Necklace – 3 Hours

Join us on our fabulous three hour Precious Metal Silver Clay – Hammered Necklace workshop.

You’ll make one necklace – this will include ONE pendant, and you’ll also receive ONE chain – an 18 inch trace chain.

Please note that this workshop will involve texturing your silver with light hammers. The session will begin with a drink – tea or coffee and a briefing on workshop health and safety and what you can expect to achieve on the session, and also view samples.

You’ll be guided through the whole process of making your jewellery by Charlotte. During this workshop you’ll learn both precious metal clay and traditional silversmithing techniques.

Please note that during this workshop your jewellery will be made from fine silver.

You’ll learn how to handle, roll and refine your precious metal silver clay. You will be able to choose from a number of different shapes, using our templates / cutters or draw your own shape. You’ll then learn the firing process. Once fired you’ll add a texture to your pendant using light hammers. If you are not comfortable using hammers, you can book onto our other full day precious metal silver clay workshop, where you will texture your pieces before firing. You’ll finish the workshop by refining and polishing your pieces to a high shine.

You will receive a chain to add your pendant too. The chain will be an 18 inch trace chain, please note that this is a different chain to pictured on the listing.

All components, jump rings, chains etc are made from sterling silver, but the main charm pieces of the jewellery are made from fine silver.

Your jewellery will be ready to wear home at the end of the workshop.

Full payment is taken to secure your place on a workshop. Please note that we can only provide refunds or transfers to another date, in the event of a workshop being cancelled due to insufficient numbers of students or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, you will be notified and full payment will be refunded or a different course date offered.
Please note that NO transfers or refunds will be given for workshops missed due to holidays or any other personal reasons. Please ensure that you can attend on the chosen date before making payment and committing to the date.
If you are ill (including COVID) please do not attend, and we will offer a different workshop date, however, you must have let us know before the workshop takes place, in order for a different date to be offered. If you only let us know during the scheduled workshop or after the workshop has taken place, an alternative date will NOT be offered and NO refund will be given. The only instance where a refund will be provided is if the workshop is cancelled due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances. A refund will not be provided in any other circumstance, only a different date offered
