Spinner Ring Making Workshop – One Ring – 5 hours

Join us on this fabulous five hour Spinner Ring workshop, where you’ll make ONE Spinner Ring from Sterling Silver. Each Spinner ring consists on one main band, with two smaller spinner bands around the outside. The spinner bands will be made from sterling silver, but you could make one of the spinner bands from copper should you wish, this makes a lovely contrast against the silver.

You’ll make your ‘spinners’ from 1.5mm sterling silver, round wire.

You’ll be guided through the whole process of making your spinner ring by your tutor. The day will start with measuring your chosen finger, then you’ll learn how to calculate the length of silver needed for each ring.

You will texture, and saw your metal to size, before shaping and refining, ready to be soldered. Once you’ve soldered and pickled your rings, there will be further refining and polishing to be done. You will repeat the above process for all three of your rings before joining them together to make a spinner ring.

Your ring will be ready to wear upon leaving the workshop.

The cost of the workshop is £85 per person and includes the use of tools and all the silver / copper to make your spinner ring.

This workshop will last approximately three hours, but this is an estimate and may be slightly shorter or longer depending upon numbers in the workshop and ability of learners etc.

This workshop is suitable for beginners to silversmithing.

Full payment is taken to secure your place on a workshop. Please note that we can only provide refunds or transfers to another date, in the event of a workshop being cancelled due to insufficient numbers of students or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, you will be notified and full payment will be refunded or a different course date offered.
Please note that NO transfers or refunds will be given for workshops missed due to holidays or any other personal reasons. Please ensure that you can attend on the chosen date before making payment and committing to the date.
If you are ill (including Covid) please do not attend, and we will offer a different workshop date, however, you must have let us know before the workshop takes place, in order for a different date to be offered. If you only let us know during the scheduled workshop or after the workshop has taken place, an alternative date will NOT be offered and NO refund will be given.
The only instance where a refund will be provided is if the workshop is cancelled due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances. A refund will not be provided in any other circumstance, only a different date offered
