Join us on our fabulous three hour Wide Band Ring workshop.
You’ll make one ring, from 1mm thick, 6mm wide sterling silver. You’ll be able to texture your ring, polish it to a high shine or maybe even add some special wording / dates or symbols, such as hearts or star – the choice is yours – YOUR ring, YOUR way!
The session will begin with a drink – tea or coffee and a briefing on workshop health and safety and what you can expect to achieve on the session, and also view samples.
You’ll be guided through the whole process of making your jewellery by Charlotte. You will measure your chosen finger and learn how to calculate the length of silver needed for your size. You’ll learn how to saw your silver and shape ready for soldering. Once soldered and pickled, you will then refine your ring by sanding and polishing. Charlotte will demonstrate various texturing techniques with our selection of hammers. You will practicing texturing on copper, before committing to which hammer you’d like to texture your ring with. Once textured there will be further refining and polishing to do.
Your ring will be ready to wear upon leaving the workshop.
What’s included? One piece of 1mm thick, 6mm wide sterling silver for your ring and copper for practicing. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be available during the session.

This workshop is suitable for beginners to silversmithing.

Workshop Terms and Conditions
Full payment is taken to secure your place on a workshop. Please note that we can only provide refunds or transfers to another date, in the event of a workshop being cancelled due to insufficient numbers of students or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, you will be notified and full payment will be refunded or a different course date offered.
Please note that NO transfers or refunds will be given for workshops missed due to holidays or any other personal reasons. Please ensure that you can attend on the chosen date before making payment and committing to the date.
If you are ill (including COVID) please do not attend, and we will offer a different workshop date, however, you must have let us know before the workshop takes place, in order for a different date to be offered. If you only let us know during the scheduled workshop or after the workshop has taken place, an alternative date will NOT be offered and NO refund will be given. The only instance where a refund will be provided is if the workshop is cancelled due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances. A refund will not be provided in any other circumstance, only a different date offered
